You've Got Mail!
You might have already noticed our new mailboxes in the
foyer. On the wall next to the phone is a list with
names and box numbers. Please feel free to use the pens
and paper provided in box #126 to write a note of
encouragement, a question/concern, or just say "Hi" to
someone in the Body today. Keep a close eye on your
box. You never know when you might get mail!
Discipleship Opportunity
If you are interested in being discipled
one-on-one, please contact the church secretary (contact
number here) as soon as
possible so that we may set you up with our FBF
discipleship ministry.
Encouragement Opportunity
As a church, we support many missionaries at home and
all over the world. These missionaries have busy lives,
struggles, and work hard to serve the Lord just like you
do. Many times they would just like to hear an
encouraging word or that someone is praying for them.
If you would be interested in contacting one of more of
our missionaries on a regular basis (once a month or
so), please contact us (contact number here). You may
write to them, call them, or e-mail them. You can be a
real blessing to another brother or sister in Christ!
Family Camp AUGUST
29 - SEPTEMBER 1
If you've ever experienced camping, you know the
benefits of doing it. The closeness and bonding that
comes in a relaxed, restful atmosphere away from all the
"things" that tend to snatch our time and distract us is
invaluable. Being where it is quiet and unhurried
somehow makes it easier to hear and see God.
FBF would like to organize a "Family Camp Weekend" for
August 29th-September 1st (Labor Day weekend). This will
be a time for you to bond not only with your own
family, but with other families from the church! We are
planning to go to Jim and Sue Prock's (former FBF
members) in the hills of Pennsylvania. There will be
indoor sleeping accommodations and plenty of room for
tents. We are planning exciting activities that are sure
to be of interest to every age group. There is always
the river to swim in and explore, hiking trails, river
activities (tubing/canoeing). and we found out that
Labor Day weekend, a nearby park brings out its hang
gliders each year to glide off the mountain...and anyone
can watch! We will also be planning lots of great
worship times together and hold our own Sunday morning
worship service in God's great outdoors.
The deadline for signup was July 27th.
Wednesday Evening Children's Ministry
Do you enjoy a Wednesday evening ministry? Being
refreshed by prayer and Bible study is much needed after
a day in this weary world. Did you know that life can
even weary our children? This September and October, our
Wednesday evening Children's Ministry is planning to
refresh our youngest attenders with the Apostle Paul's
letter to the Galatians. Would you be willing to give of
your time and energy to walk with our kids through this
exceptional message of salvation by faith alone? All the
lesson plans are prepared for you. You can choose to
walk 4 or 8 weeks with one of our three age groups.
If interested, please contact us (contact number here).
